Leon and Krauser search through the village, only to find your guide seriously wounded in one of the destroyed houses, muttering something about a girl. Then, the trailer quickly shifts back to the streets, but this time, are no longer deserted. Leon and Krauser are surrounded by a crowd of zombies too willing to take a bite of the two protagonists. As Leon enters a church, meets a girl in a white dress laying on the ground.
The trailer suddenly changes to a series of cut scenes on the premises of a huge futuristic laboratory, full of arches (Bio-Organic Weapons). Among them a tyrant, and most notably, a fiery mysterious being mentioned that he had been waiting for years to become one with Veronica virus.
The trailer then switches to a scene that looks like a dam or, possibly, outside the laboratory. Leon and Krauser are, together with the girl in white dress, and we learned that his name is Manuela. A couple of scenes in the game show Leon and Krauser fight your way through the streets, while protecting Manuela. A number of interesting lines of dialogue were heard while displaying additional game: “So this is what Umbrella virus can do, eh?” “Yes, but there is something different about this”.
The trailer ended with a zoom into the face of Manuela, and the screen fades out.
After the trailer ended, Kawata said the highlights in the Operation of Javier. “For this new episode, We decided to go with South America, Which is a setting that has not been used in the Resident Evil series up do date,” he said. “The main characters are Leo. S. Kennedy and Jack Krauser. They were enemies of Resident Evil 4, but this story takes place before that period of time and you cooperate together as teammates.”
Kawata subsequently introduced two important story characters. The first was Manuela, the girl from the trailer, and the second is one of Javier Hidalgo. Although not mentioned during the presentation, Capcom’s official site gives additional insights into history. Javier is a drug lord wanted on an international level has full power over a region in South America. However, suddenly disappears, and not long after the information comes in that a former researcher for Umbrella Corporation was seen entering the territory of Javier. That triggered the U.S. to mount a search party – led by Leon and Krauser – to find out what is happening.
After talking about the characters, Kawata came to announce that the game will be released in Japan on January 14, more than a month after its release in North America on November 27. Kawata said that the extra time could allow “additional measures” to launch in Japan. However, it was unclear whether he was referring to the bonus game or some kind of bonus pre-order or retail sales.
Kawata then introduced Cavia producer Kentaro Noguchi, whose company is developing the game. Noguchi played through a few minutes of Operation Javier, and showed how easy it have a self-locking system for novice players. Kawata then explained that while self-locking is easier to hit enemies, not meant for advanced players because the results will not be as high.
As Noguchi advanced through the game, Kawata explained how developers have turned to more realistic and graphically advanced as possible on the Wii. Aside from the graphics and textures, have also worked in the smallest details, like a shaky camera effect.
In terms of history, there are about three times as many lines of dialogue in comparison with the previous game Chronicles, since both partners often talk to each other. It was also mentioned that the game features a status screen during the break, much like the mainstream of the action video game series Resident Evil. On the screen, players can take their time to select a weapon and use of corrupted characters without worrying about being attacked by enemies.
